Albany is also home to the famous Bee Hive and Ice House restaurants, the Old Jail Art Center museum and The Fort Griffin Fandangle, an annual musical telling the history of the area and performed by almost 500 of the local residents. When oil was found in the area in the early part of the 1900s, it added another economic driver to the area, and Conrad Hilton started his famous career with his first hotel in Cisco (now a museum). Airports: Cisco Municipal airport has a 3,700 foot runway is closest to the property, but also nearby is the Cisco Gregory Simmons Memorial airport with a 6,500 foot runway and 7 day/week FBO. There are other airports with paved runways near the towns of Albany, Eastland and Breckenridge.
